Your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes starts early in the morning. After being picked up from your hotel, we drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest in Morocco. You will enjoy incredible views and stop at small Berber villages to take photos. The first main stop is at Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village that has appeared in many movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
After exploring the kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Then we travel through the Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses, famous for rosewater products. We end the day in Dades Valley, surrounded by beautiful rock formations and kasbahs. You will spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel with dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, we drive to Todra Gorge, one of the most stunning places in Morocco, with cliffs that rise up to 300 meters high. You will have free time to walk through the narrow canyon and take pictures. Then, we continue to Erfoud, known for fossils and dates, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
In the afternoon, your camel guide will be waiting to take you on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets, the desert glows in golden and red colors, a magical view you will never forget. After arriving at your desert camp, you will enjoy mint tea, a traditional Moroccan dinner, and Berber music by the fire. Spend the night under the stars or in your private tent surrounded by the silence of the desert.
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the sand dunes — it’s a peaceful and unforgettable moment. After breakfast, we leave the camp and drive through Rissani, an old town known for its traditional market. Then, we continue through Ziz Valley, where thousands of palm trees line the river. You’ll stop for photos and lunch on the way before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains.
We pass through Midelt, a cool town surrounded by mountains, and continue to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets and alpine-style houses. By evening, we reach Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest and most beautiful cities. The driver will drop you off at your hotel or riad, marking the end of your amazing 3-day desert journey from Marrakech to Fes.
