Your 4 days desert adventure begins early in the morning when we pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We travel through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), with many chances to stop and take pictures of Berber villages and valleys.
Our first main stop is the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient clay village that has been used as a film location for many movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. After exploring the kasbah and enjoying lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” because of its film studios and beautiful kasbahs. You’ll visit Taourirt Kasbah before spending the night in a comfortable riad or hotel in Ouarzazate with dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and drive through the Skoura Oasis, known for its palm trees and ancient kasbahs. We continue to the Valley of Roses, where locals make rosewater and perfumes from the flowers. The road then takes us to Dades Valley, one of the most scenic places in Morocco, famous for its red rocks and green fields.
You’ll stop to admire the stunning rock formations called “Monkey Fingers” and the winding Dades Gorge road, which offers incredible photo opportunities. The day ends at your hotel or riad in the Dades Valley, where you’ll have dinner and a relaxing night surrounded by mountains and peace.
After breakfast, we drive to Todra Gorge, a beautiful canyon with walls up to 300 meters high. It’s a great place for a short walk, photos, or just to enjoy nature. Then, we continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and date market. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where your camel guide will be waiting.
You will start your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watching the sunset paint the sand in orange and gold colors. When you arrive at the desert camp, you’ll enjoy traditional mint tea, a delicious Moroccan dinner, and Berber music around the campfire. Tonight, you’ll sleep in a luxury tent under a sky full of stars — an unforgettable Sahara experience.
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most magical moments of the tour. After breakfast, we leave the desert and drive through Rissani and Ziz Valley, full of palm trees and old kasbahs. The scenery changes again as we pass through Midelt, a small mountain town, and the Middle Atlas Mountains.
We stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” with its clean streets and European-style buildings. By evening, we reach Fes, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or riad.
