On the way, you will stop to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, an ancient city with well-preserved columns, mosaics, and arches that tell stories from thousands of years ago. Then, you will head to Meknes, another imperial city where you will see the grand Bab Mansour gate and Lahdim Square. Finally, you will arrive in Fes, one of the oldest cities in Morocco, known for its narrow streets and old architecture. Overnight stay in a riad inside the medina.
Today is for exploring the cultural capital of Morocco. You will visit the ancient Fes el Bali medina, the Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest in the world), the tanneries where leather is still colored by hand, and the royal palace gates. You can also walk through the small souks filled with spices, carpets, and handmade crafts. Fes is full of life, history, and surprises in every corner. In the evening, you can relax in your riad or try Moroccan dishes like tagine and couscous.
After breakfast, you will drive south passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will stop in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” because of its clean streets and European-style houses. Then continue through Azrou forest, where you may see Barbary monkeys. As you travel further, the landscape changes to desert plains and palm groves until you reach the Ziz Valley with its beautiful oasis. By the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. You will ride camels into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch a magical sunset. At night, you will enjoy dinner and Berber music around the fire under the stars in a desert camp.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the desert, a moment you will never forget. After breakfast, you will leave Merzouga and travel through small Berber villages towards Tinghir. Here you will explore the Todra Gorges, impressive cliffs rising 300 meters high. You can walk between the canyon walls and enjoy the fresh air before continuing to Dades Valley. This area is known for its rock formations and green valleys. Overnight stay in a riad overlooking the valley.

Then visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous ksars in Morocco, made of mud-brick houses that look like a sandcastle. After exploring this beautiful place, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass with amazing views until you arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
Today, you will explore the red city of Marrakech, full of colors, sounds, and energy.
